| Payment Entry |
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Payment Entry window allows you to add new payment transactions as well as change or delete unbilled payment transactions. As an option, you can also post journal entries directly into Tabs3 General Ledger (GL) or to QuickBooks when entering payments. Until a payment transaction is included on a final statement and updated, it is unprocessed.
Note: The Payment Entry window can also be accessed from the Import Online Payments window by importing payments from Tabs3 Pay®, LawPay®, or LexCharge® with the View each Payment record before creating option selected.
Various toolbar buttons are shown at the top of the window allowing you to change how the information is displayed as well as what information is displayed in the window. At the bottom of the window, a list of transactions can be optionally displayed for a Client ID, Transaction Date, or Entry Date.
Electronic Transaction Receipt (Tabs3 Pay/LawPay) or View Credit Card Information (LexCharge)
View Linked Client Funds Record
Add Payment Method / Manage Payment Methods (Displayed if Tabs3 Pay integration is enabled.)
Add LawPay Payment Method / Manage LawPay Payment Methods (Displayed if LawPay integration is enabled.)
Accept electronic payments with Tabs3 Pay (Displayed if credit card processing has not been enabled.)
Transactions that have been included on a pre-bill will display with all fields dimmed when opened from outside the Pre-Bill Information window, unless the user has rights to Modify Pre-Bill Transactions Outside of Pre-Bills. Attempting to make changes from outside this window without rights will display a message that the transaction cannot be edited.
Transactions that have been included on a final statement will display with all fields dimmed and cannot be edited. To change any field, you must revert the statement to a pre-bill, then make changes by drilling down to the transaction from the Pre-Bill Information window.
The following buttons are included on the Data Entry Toolbar, which is located below the standard toolbar.
