When integrating with Tabs3 General Ledger, an Unapplied Payments account must be defined as a holding account for unallocated/unapplied payment amounts. This account must be defined in two places:

To configure GL accounts for unapplied payments

  1. Once the desired GLS accounts have been configured in GLS.
  2. From the Maintenance menu, point to Integration and select GLS Integration Setup.
  3. In the Payment Entries section, click the Configure Payment Integration button.
  4. In the Post Unapplied Payments section, select the desired posting method, and click the Unapplied Payment Accounts button.
  5. Specify a Debit Account, Credit Account and Journal and click OK.
  6. Click OK to close the GLS Accounts Table for Finance Charge, Sales Tax and Unapplied Payments window.
  7. Close the GLS Integration Setup window.

The Unapplied Payments accounts must be defined before the following programs can be accessed: Payment Entry, Update Statements, Payment Adjustment, Undo Multiple Updated Statements, Undo Single Updated Statement.

If optionally integrating client funds transactions, the Unapplied Payments accounts must be defined before the Client Funds Entry program can be accessed.
