Enter the transaction date in month-day-year format (i.e., mm/dd/yyyy). The "/" characters are automatically inserted. The day of the week will be shown to the right of the date.

The button can be used to open a Calendar window that allows you to select a date.

Note: If you enter a year that is not the same as the current year, the message "The Date entered is not for the current year" will be displayed.

GLS Integration Note: When Tabs3 is configured to integrate with Tabs3 General Ledger (GLS), and the payment transaction's date is outside of the GLS Date Restrictions, a message will be displayed. The message displayed depends on your access rights and the defined restrictions.

GLS Integration Note: When a payment transaction is saved for a date prior to the current month, and the date is within the current GLS Date Restrictions, a message will be displayed asking you to confirm that you want the journal entry posted to the prior period. Clicking Yes will create journal entries with a date in the prior period. Clicking No will return to the date field of the payment transaction, thus allowing you to change the date.

Do not show again this session

When integrating with GLS, if a date is entered for a prior month but does not exceed GLS date restrictions, the following message will be displayed upon saving the record:

The date specified is prior to the current calendar month.

Are you sure you want to adjust a prior period in General Ledger?

Selecting the Do not show again this session check box allows you to continue entering payments prior to the current month without the message displaying again until Tabs3 is closed and reopened.
