|||||||||||||||||||||
The Statement Manager is a List window that displays updated statements and allows you to easily see information about them, such as how much was billed on each statement and what is still due. You can filter the List to see only the information you want, such as statements with unpaid amounts. You can double-click a statement to see additional information, or you can perform actions on one or more statements using the Quick Clicks pane on the right.
Note: Opening the Statement Manager will put focus in the current Statement Manager window, or open a new Statement Manager window if one is not currently open. Holding the Ctrl key while clicking the Statement Manager action on the Home page or Quick Launch pane will always open the Statement Manager in a new window.
This window consists of the following main areas:
Each row in the list area represents a statement that has been final billed and updated. Double-click a row in the list to open the associated statement in the Statement Informationwindow. Click theClient ID hyperlink in the Client ID column to open the associated matter in the Matter Manager.
The various columns shown are determined by the column layout; by default, the Statements Column Layout is used, which displays the most common information needed for statements. The following columns are included in the Statements Column Layout:
Client ID
Client Name
Work Description
Stmt Date
Stmt #
Amount Billed
Amount Due
Note: The Client Name and Work Description columns are virtual fields and cannot be used for sorting.
Additionally, a Default Column Layout is included, which displays all statement information. Specific columns can be included in other column layouts.
QuickView tabs can optionally be displayed in the list.
The sort order of the records shown in the list can be changed by clicking a column heading. An ascending
sort indicator will be shown in the column heading indicating the sort order. Click the same column heading again to reverse the sort order and change the sort indicator to a descending
sort indicator. You can use Incremental Searchon the sorted column to locate information. If a field's contents are not fully shown, you can hover over the field to display a tooltip with the extended contents. PressingF5 can be used to Refresh the list of statements.
Note: Virtual field columns cannot be used for sorting. Sorting is faster when using a permanent index.
The list can be filtered to only include the desired records. You can enter a search value into the Search box to filter the records shown in the current window to show only those records that contain the specified text. Alternatively, the list can be filtered using the options in the Filter group of the Quick Clicks pane.
You can select a record by clicking on it.Multiple recordscan be selected. Records that have been selected will be highlighted. When multiple records are selected in the list, thestatus barwill display a Record Count indicator with the text "Selected:" followed by a count of the number of records currently selected. You cancopy the selected record(s) to the Windows clipboard using Ctrl+C or the
