All values are taken from the client's Bill To record, which is stored in the Bill To Record window on the Billing Preferences tab of the Client File.

The Bill To Full Name will print as it appears in the Full Name field of the Contact record for the Bill To Name field contact.

For Secure Clients, the Bill To Name field will be reversed if a "/" character is found ("Last/First" will become "First Last").

All Bill To records set up on the Billing Preferences tab of the Client file will receive statements when Mail Statement or Email Statement is selected. The Additional Bill To record's statement header will print an address only when Bill To fields are used. Additionally, the Additional Bill To record's address will only print on a statement when the Print the Bill To's Name and Address on the Statement option is selected in the Bill To Record window.

Work Description

DESC

Client File: Address tab

The Work Description field works differently than the other fields. The Work Description will be included on a statement regardless of whether you use it in the Statement Designer.

When the Work Description field is not used in the statement designer heading, Tabs3 automatically includes the work description as part of the statement body. If you want the work description to print for each matter when using the Combine Matter option for multiple matters, do not use the work description in the statement designer heading.

When the Work Description field is used in the statement designer heading, the work description is not printed in the statement body; instead, Tabs3 prints the work description as part of the statement header. When using the Combine Matters option for multiple matters, only the work description for the main client will be printed on the statement.

Re:

@ReLabel

Only prints on a statement when the Work Description field is also included in the statement designer header.

If a miscellaneous line is used in a page layout, it will print where designated (provided an asterisk is not included in the first character position). If a miscellaneous line is not used in a page layout, it will print automatically at the top of the statement body, which is how the miscellaneous lines print when page layouts are not used.

Note: When adding client-related fields, keep in mind that if the Statement Delivery Options section displays a Bill To record other than the Default Bill To record, but the Statement Designer page layout uses Client fields, the address in the Additional Bill To record will not print. In order for the Additional Bill To record information to print on a statement, the page layout must use Bill To Address fields instead of Client fields. For example, if the page layout uses the "Client Full Name and Address" field (i.e., @clientNameAndAddress), replace that field with the "Bill To Full Name and Address" field (i.e., @nameAndAddress).
