The Display | Field Names menu option in the Statement Designer right-click menu acts as a toggle and controls whether fields on the page layout display field IDs (e.g., "ADDR1", "@firmName", "@clientAddress", etc.) or data from the corresponding data file.

When this option is turned on, a check mark is displayed to the left of the Field Names menu option. The field ID is displayed in each field, which helps you identify which fields are on the layout and how they are positioned.

When this option is turned off, no check mark is displayed next to the Field Names menu option. Content from the corresponding data file is displayed in each field. However, if the value changes depending on the client, then the extended Field Name is shown instead. For example, when this option is turned off, the actual firm name will be shown instead of "@firmName". As another example, for a client field, the following label will be shown instead of the "@clientAddress" field ID:
