Maximum of 255 characters. This description can be printed on the matter's billing statement. It will also be included on various data entry windows and reports as a means of verifying that the correct matter has been selected. Put an asterisk ("*") in the first character position of this field if you do not want this field to print on the matter's billing statement.

The Work Description is displayed in the Client Lookup window. Furthermore, matters can be selected via the Client Lookup window based on information within the Work Description field.

Note: If you leave the Work Description field blank or put an asterisk in the first character position of the field, a blank line for this field will still print on the statement unless the Print blank miscellaneous lines check box on the Options tab of Statement Customization is cleared.

Note: If you need more than 255 characters, enter the additional information in the Miscellaneous Lines.

Note: If you integrate with Worldox in PracticeMaster, only the first 81 characters of the Work Description will be synchronized to the Matter & Client Description field in Worldox.
