Maximum one (1) additional Bill To record. An Additional Bill To record is typically used to produce a duplicate statement or to send a statement to a third-party on behalf of a client. For each client, you can add one Additional Bill To record in the Statement Delivery Options table on the Billing Preferences tab of the Client file.

For an existing Additional Bill To record, the information in the Bill To Record window can be edited by clicking the blue hyperlink next to the Bill To Name field to open the Bill To contact's record in the Contact file.

Note:Duplicate statements, email statements, and envelopes are not generated when draft statements are run. However, cover statements are generated.

Tip: If you need to send an email statement for a client to multiple recipients, you can customize an email template for a specific client. This allows you to specify multiple Cc Recipients.

Note: When entering an Additional Bill To record for a secure client, you must enter a Bill To Name. No contact record will be created for the name entered in the Bill To Name field.

Note: When a client is in Matter mode and set as Inactive, the Additional Bill To record's Statement Address selector will automatically be set to Matter. If the Statement Address selector is changed, it will be reverted back to Matter upon saving the record.
