If you select the Clear Fee Compensation Rules Table check box on the Setup tab, all fee compensation rules tables for the selected clients will be cleared with the exception of those Custom fee compensation rules tables that are shared by other clients. For example, let's say client 100.00 has a Custom fee compensation rules table that is being shared by 120.01 and 120.02. When the Change Client Options utility is run with the Clear Fee Compensation Rules Table check box selected for those clients, the fee compensation rules table for clients 120.01 and 120.02 will be cleared. However, the fee compensation rules table for client 100.00 will not be cleared. This will be noted on the Change Client Options Verification List. (Tip: If you want to clear the fee compensation rules table for client 100.00 as well, run the Change Client Options utility a second time with the same options.) |
Note: An exception to the above rule applies when the client with the Custom fee compensation rules table is the highest numbered client in the range (e.g., client 120.02 has a Custom fee compensation rules table that is shared with 100.00 and 121.01). In this case, the fee compensation rules table will be cleared for all three clients. |

If you select the Clear Fee Rate Table or the Clear Cost Rate Table check box on the Rates tab, all fee or cost rate tables for the selected clients will be cleared with the exception of Custom fee or cost rate tables that are shared by other clients. For example, let's say client 600.00 has a Custom fee rate table that is being shared by 600.01 and 600.02. When the Change Client Options utility is run with the Clear Fee Rate Table check box selected for those clients, the fee rate table for clients 600.01 and 600.02 will be cleared. However, the fee rate table for client 600.00 will not be cleared. This will be noted on the Change Client Options Verification List. (Tip: If you want to clear the fee rate table for client 600.00 as well, run the Change Client Options utility a second time with the same options.) |
Note: An exception to the above rule applies when the client with the Custom fee or cost rate table is the highest numbered client in the range (e.g., client 600.02 has a Custom fee rate table that is shared with 600.00 and 600.01). In this case, the fee rate table will be cleared for all three clients. |

The Change Client Options Verification List includes all clients that meet the specifications for being changed; however, with the exception of custom field changes, it does not indicate which clients were changed unless an error occurred. If a client in the list could not be changed due to errors preventing the utility from making the requested change(s), error information will be indicated in the verification list. All custom field changes are noted, including if selected criteria resulted in no changes to clients’ custom fields. |
