Email Templates are used to determine the content of the email message that accompanies emailed PDF statements.
The Email Templates window allows you to define email templates. The same email template can be used for multiple Bill To contacts. Changes made to an email template affect all Bill To records that use the template. There is no limit to the number of email templates that can be defined.
Bill To contacts are assigned email templates on the Billing Preferences tab of the Client file in the Statement Delivery Options section. Each Bill To contact receiving email statements is assigned an email template in the Bill To Record window. This makes it easy to use different templates for different recipients.
For example, some timekeepers in your firm may prefer that their emails include the amount due and last payment date, whereas other timekeepers may prefer that their emails include only firm information. You can set up separate email templates for each situation, and then assign the desired template accordingly.
Additionally, you can designate a single email template for all clients in a single statement run using the Email Template button on the Options tab of the Generate Statements program.
Tip: You can use the Change Client Options program to assign an email template to multiple clients.
