| Task Based Billing Client |
Task based billing is a method of billing that implements the Uniform Task-Based Management System developed in part by the ABA and a consortium of other organizations. This check box determines whether the client has been set up for task based billing.
Select this check box if the client has asked you to provide billing information based on the Uniform Task-Based Management System. Task based billing codes cannot be used when entering fee and cost transactions for a client unless this check box is selected. The Task Based Billing Budget button becomes available on the Budget tab when this check box is selected.
Clear this check box if the client does not require task based billing.
The default task based billing status for new clients is configured on the Client Defaults tab of Customization.
Note: The Task Based Billing check box cannot be changed if a cost rate table is defined for the client. You must clear all rates for the existing cost rate table before you will be allowed to change the Task Based Billing status.

Note: The "Client" terminology can be changed in Customization. This terminology is used on all menus, windows, and reports. However, the label "Client" is used in all documentation.
