Click on the desired tab when appears for information about that program tab.

Transaction Batch

The Batch tab provides a read-only history of the selected transaction along with any other transactions associated with the specified transaction due to adjusting or reversing entries.

For example, when you enter a payment for a client, the appropriate journal entries are added as one transaction. If the payment included unapplied amounts, another transaction will be created each time a statement is run with new amounts to allocate. These additional transactions will be displayed as part of the same batch as the original payment, but with different transaction numbers. This makes it easy to track journal entries that change over time.

The Batch tab displays journal entries in descending Trans # order.

The following fields are shown on the Batch tab:

Trans # Indicates the transaction number for the journal entry.
Date Indicates the date of the journal entry.
Account Indicates the account number and name.
Debit/Credit Indicates the debit or credit amount entered for the journal entry.
Description Indicates the description entered for the journal entry.
Type Indicates the type selected on the Transaction tab.
Check # Indicates the check # of the journal entry.
Jrnl Indicates the journal # selected for the journal entry.
Reference Indicates the reference entered for the journal entry.
R (status) Indicates the status of the journal entry.
Totals Indicates the total for the Debit and Credit columns. When the total Debits and Credits are equal, the label shows "Balanced". When they are not equal, the label shows "Difference".

The Subtotal by section can be used to used to display journal entry subtotals for transactions or batches.

The Journal Entry Details section contains the Source, User ID, and Date Entered from the Transaction tab.

Note: The Batch tab will only show transactions associated with the cost or payment selected on the Transaction tab.

Note: Any changes to journal entries must be made from the Transaction tab.

Note: Transactions cannot be added to the Batch tab.

Note: Column sorting is not available.
