Select this check box if you want the draft statement to appear on the Pre-Bill Tracking window as a “legacy” pre-bill record. The record includes the Statement Date shown on the statement and the internally assigned batch number. If a pre-bill already exists for a client, the record will be updated to reflect the new Report Date and batch number.

Clear this check box if you do not want legacy pre-bill records to be created for this run of draft statements.

Note: Pre-bills and final statements cannot coexist for the same client. Generating a pre-bill or final statement will override the existing record for that client; however, legacy pre-bills will not override an existing pre-bill or final statement.

Note: Legacy pre-bill records can be tracked, marked as reviewed or on hold, and used to generate a final statement. However, legacy pre-bill records do not create a full pre-bill, so the following features are adjusted:

  • You will not be able to drill down to the Pre-Bill Information window to see a preview of the statement and make adjustments.
  • Transactions included on the pre-bill are not protected, so all users with access rights can change or delete these transactions.
  • The Final Statements button on the Pre-Bill Tracking window will display the Final Statement Options window with the Transactions tab available. A final statement will be generated based on these settings, not on the original transactions included on the draft statement.

To gain the additional features of a pre-bill, select a Statement Type of “Pre-Bill” rather than “Draft” with Update Pre-Bill Tracking.
