| Statement Date |
Enter the date to be used on the statement. The Statement Date does not affect which billing transactions are included on the statement. However, when integrating with TAS, it does affect which trust transactions appear in the Trust Activity section of the statement.
TAS Integration Note: The trust transactions that will appear on the statement are the transactions that have a date greater than the client's last Statement Date through the current Tabs3 Statement Date.
The Statement Date is used to determine the billing period.
Statement Date Note: The Statement Date of the updated statements determines the billing period on the reports.
If you are printing an aged or summary past due message on the statement(s), the Statement Date is used to age the past due information. If you are using the finance charge option for your statements, the Statement Date is used to calculate the amount of finance charge.
If you are running final statements, the Statement Date will be saved in the client ledger record and in the client's file as the last Statement Date (once the Update Statements program is run). The Statement Date is included on the Pre-Update Statements Report making it easy to verify the correct Statement Date was used before the statement is updated. The Statement Date is saved with each transaction as it is updated to the archive file.
If a client is configured to use Client Funds with a Fund Application of “Automatic All,” the date used for the payment is the Statement Date.
The Statement Date is also used by the Pre-Bill Tracking program if the Update Pre-Bill Tracking check box in the Statements program is selected. All client funds transactions are included regardless of Statement Date.
The Statement Date may be used for the payment allocation date. This occurs in the event that an unapplied payment is allocated to a statement with a date that is later than the original payment date.
The
