| Statement Type |
This section allows you to specify how the Generate Statements window defaults the Statement Type when generating pre-bills.
The following options are available:
Select the default Pre-Bill behavior:
| Pre-Bill |
Select this option to generate “Pre-Bills” by default. When using the “Pre-Bill” statement type, the pre-bill is shown in the Pre-Bill Tracking window, allowing it to be tracked, previewed in the Pre-Bill Information window, marked as reviewed or on hold, and then used to generate a final statement. All transactions included on the pre-bill are protected during the review process, and the Final Statements button on the Pre-Bill Tracking window will generate a final statement based on the transactions included on the pre-bill. |
|
| Draft with “Update Pre-Bill Tracking” selected |
Select this option to generate “Draft” statements by default. When using the “Draft” statement type with the Update Pre-Bill Tracking option selected, the draft statement is shown as a “legacy” pre-bill record in the Pre-Bill Tracking window. This allows it to be tracked, marked as reviewed or on hold, and then used to generate a final statement. However, this does not create a full pre-bill, so the following features are adjusted:
To gain the additional features of a pre-bill, select a Statement Type of “Pre-Bill” instead. Note: A legacy pre-bill record can also be created when running a Detail Work-In-Process Report with the Update Pre-Bill Tracking option selected. |
Note: These options only affect the default Statement Type. Users can change the Statement Type to “Draft” or “Pre-Bill” when running Generate Statements, regardless of these settings.
