To add a new write off from the Write Offs list

  1. From the File menu, point to Open, and then select Write Offs.
  2. Click on the toolbar to open the Write Off Client window.
  3. Enter the desired information for the write off.
  4. Click OK to save the new write off. You will be asked to confirm that you want to continue with the write off.

  To add a new write off from the Clients list

  1. From the File menu, point to Open, and then select Clients.
  2. Select the desired client.
  3. In the Take Action group of the Quick Clicks pane, click Write Off.
  4. Enter the desired information for the write off.
  5. Click OK to save the new write off. You will be asked to confirm that you want to continue with the write off.

The default client for the write off transaction will be the same as the client selected in the Clients list.

  To add a new write off from the Statement Manager

  1. From the Statements menu, select Statement Manager.
  2. Select the desired statement.
  3. In the Take Action group of the Quick Clicks pane, click Write Off.
  4. Enter the desired information for the write off.
  5. Click OK to save the new write off. You will be asked to confirm that you want to continue with the write off.

The default client for the write off transaction will be the same client as the statement selected in the Statement Manager. The Statement to Write Off will be set to Specific, and the statement number will default to the selected statement.

  To add a new write off from the Write Off Client window

  1. From the Maintenance menu, point to Client Related, and then select Write Off Client.
  2. Click the Client button and select the desired client.
  3. Enter the desired information for the write off.
  4. Click OK to save the new write off. You will be asked to confirm that you want to continue with the write off.

Note: A user will not be able to add a write off unless that user has been assigned access rights to write off clients.
