Each transaction code defined in Tabs3 is assigned a Type. The Type is a 1-digit code (0-6). The Type determines how the transaction code will be treated by Tabs3. The majority of your transaction codes will be Type 0 (Normal). However, there are additional transaction code types used for specific functions.
Payment Note: We recommend using Type 1 regular payments for all your payments. Detailed information regarding use of regular payments vs. fee and cost payments can be found in Knowledge Base article R11297, Use Tabs3 Regular Payments Instead of Fee, Expense, and Advance Payments.
Note: Previous versions included a Type 9 - Finance Charge Credit transaction code type.
