Type 5 Tcode - Miscellaneous
A transaction code assigned a Type of "5" can be used when making transactions (fees or costs) for which there is no predefined transaction code that meets your needs. This allows you to make a "free form" entry with any description you desire. The Type 5 transaction code allows a description, rate, hours and amount; whereas, the Type 4 transaction code allows only a description.
Note: When using a statement template with an Expense Format of Tcode Subtotal Only, an Advance Format of Tcode Subtotal Only, or a Fee Format of Summary and a Subtotal of Transaction Code, Type 5 transaction codes will not be subtotaled. Each individual Type 5 transaction code will print on the statement along with all text that was entered for the transaction whereas Type 0 transaction codes will subtotal based on the transaction code number and only the predefined description from the transaction code file will be printed. For example, this can be useful when using an Expense Format of Summary and you want one total for all telephone calls, one total for postage, etc., but you want a detail description for a particular expense item, such as an expense credit. The credit entry can be entered with a Type 5 transaction code. Click here to see an example.
