The options for Past Due Message consist of Detail, Aged, Summary, or None.

Detail

Detail billed and due information will print for each statement that has a past due amount. If the client has a zero balance, no past due billing information will be printed. The following is an example of the Detail option.

               Past Due Amounts

Stmt Date Stmt # Billed Due
09/30/21 335 734.00 39.00
10/29/21 343 402.00 402.00

                                          441.00

The "Past Due Amounts" terminology can be changed on Line 47 of the Terminology tab in Statement Customization. The column headings cannot be changed.

Note: A Detail Past Due Message is not available when reprinting an updated statement.

Aged

If the client has a past due balance, the amounts past due will print under the appropriate aging period as defined on the Options tab of Tabs3 Customization. The following is an example of the Aged option.

                            Aged Due Amounts
0-30 31-60 61-90 91-120 121-180 181+
---- ----- ----- ------ ------- ----
0.00 79.06 57.45 0.00 223.04 0.00

The "Aged Due Amounts" terminology can be changed on Line 47 of the Terminology tab in Statement Customization. The Aging category headings are taken from the aging periods defined in Customization.

When using the Aged option, you can elect to include the current work amounts in the Aged Due Amounts. This option is configured in Statement Customization using the Add Current Work to Past Due Amounts check box.

Note: Amounts for Automatic Trust Payments included on the statement will always be reflected in the first aging period (e.g., 0-30). This may cause this period to display a negative amount.

Summary

If the client's outstanding balance is past due, the appropriate past due 30, 60, 90, 120, or 180 day message from Statement Customization will print at the end of the statement. Amounts are not included in the message. The following is an example of the Summary option.

Your account is 60 days past due.

The message can be up to 60 characters long and can be changed on Lines 42-46 of the Terminology tab in Statement Customization. The aging periods can be changed on the Options tab of Tabs3 Customization.

None No past due message will print.
