This utility allows you to merge billable and non-billable fees and costs and credits from the Tabs3 Billing Remote with your main Tabs3 Billing data files. The remote data files must be transferred to the host Tabs3 site via a flash drive, network drive, email attachments, or other method. The Tabs3 Billing Remote data files have a file name specification of "RMT*.*" and must be transferred to the working directory. Then, the Merge Tabs3 Remote Data utility merges the remote transactions with the main data files. If you are integrated with GLS, journal entries can automatically be generated from the remote data cost entries. Additionally, if integrated with QuickBooks using the QBXML format, entries can be posted to QuickBooks.

The OK button can be used to begin merging transactions from Tabs3 Billing Remote. The Merge Tabs3 Remote Data utility will verify the remote transactions as they are merged with the main data files and reject any transactions for which there are no corresponding clients, timekeepers, categories or transaction codes that exist in the main data files. During the merge process, the number of remote transactions being processed (Remote Count) and the number of new transactions added to the main data files (New Count) are displayed along with a count of rejected transactions (Error Count) if there are any.

If transactions were successfully merged into the Tabs3 Billing data files, the program will prompt you to print a verification list. If fees or costs were merged, the program will prompt you to print a Fee Verification List followed by a Cost Verification List. If there were errors encountered during the merge, you will also be able to print a Tabs3 Error Report and/or a GLS Error Report.

While transactions are being merged, the Cancel button can be used to abort the merge process.
