The remote data files that need to be merged with the main Tabs3 Billing data files all have a file name specification of "RMT*.*". These files must be copied from the remote computer onto the computer where the main Tabs3 Billing data files reside before running the Merge Tabs3 Remote Data utility.

To copy the Tabs3 Billing Remote data files from a flash drive to the Tabs3 Billing Current Working Directory, perform the following steps:

  1. From the Tabs3 Billing main application window, click Help and then select About Tabs3. Write down the Current Working Directory shown in this window.
  2. Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
  3. Double-click the drive where the remote data files reside. If necessary, select the directory where the remote data files can be found.
  4. Select the files with an "RMT*.*" file specification by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking each file.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  6. Open the folder for the Current Working Directory that you wrote down in step #1.
  7. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
