The Summary Accounts Receivable Report shows amounts due for each of the aging periods defined on the Options tab in Customization. Amounts are not broken down by fees, costs, and finance charge like the Detail Accounts Receivable Report does. This report is shorter than the detail report. You can optionally include the client name, work description, or both. Billing notes and instructions are optional as well as contact information which includes the contact name and phone numbers. You can exclude zero balance clients, select clients whose aged balance due or total balance due is greater than a specified amount, as well as only include clients who have not made a payment in a specified number of days.
The information for this report is calculated based on client ledger records and work-in-process payments. This report has drill-down editing capabilities.

Note: The Detail Accounts Receivable Report and Summary Accounts Receivable Report, when run using the Print Current A/R option, use the WIP Cut-Off Date as a cut-off date for work-in-process payments. The Accounts Receivable by Invoice Report and Client Ledger Report use the WIP Pymt Cut-Off Date as a cut-off date for work-in-process payments. When using the same date for these options, these reports will always balance with the following exception. Since you must select an ending date for both the Client Ledger and Accounts Receivable by Invoice Report and, whereas, the Detail and Summary Accounts Receivable Reports include all billed amounts regardless of date, if you select an ending date that excludes any billed information, the Detail and Summary Accounts Receivable Reports will not balance with the report for which you selected the ending date.
