The Client Ledger Report shows the history of client billing and payment activity for each client. This report shows the amount of fees, expenses, and advances. Billed hours, finance charge, fee sales tax, expense sales tax, advance sales tax, the total amount billed for each statement and a running balance due can optionally be included on the report. Payments and write offs are also shown. When including optional non-billable information, write-up and write-down information is also included. A summary report shows only totals for each client whereas a detail report shows the amounts for each statement. An option to show amounts billed by timekeeper and cost type for each statement is also available. The ability to specify only write off information generates a write off report. Note: The Detail Accounts Receivable Report and Summary Accounts Receivable Report use the WIP Cut-Off Date as a cut-off date for work-in-process payments. The Accounts Receivable by Invoice Report, Collections Report, and Client Ledger Report use the WIP Pymt Cut-Off Date as a cut-off date for work-in-process payments. When using the same date for these options, these reports will always balance with the following exception. Since you must select an ending date for both the Client Ledger and Accounts Receivable by Invoice Report and, whereas, the Detail and Summary Accounts Receivable Reports and the Collections Report include all billed amounts regardless of date, if you select an ending date that excludes any billed information, the Detail and Summary Accounts Receivable Reports will not balance with the report for which you selected the ending date.
