| Print To |
You can specify whether you want to print the information to a Printer or File.
| Printer | Selecting Printer will output the information to the default printer for your workstation. The default printer is shown in the window. If you want to print selected pages to a different printer, close the Preview window, generate the report / statement / check again and select the correct printer in the Print Dialog window before clicking the Preview button. |
| File |
Selecting File will open a Print to File dialog box allowing you to save a report to a specified disk file in a PDF format, Excel format, HTML format, or ASCII text format. |
Note: When selecting the Excel File option from the Print from Preview window, the generated file will be output as shown in the Preview window. However, when selecting to save to an Excel file via the Print dialog box, the generated file will be output without page breaks, page numbers, and continuation page headings, thereby making it easier to work with the file in Excel.
Note: Saving the information to a file that already exists will cause the original information saved in the file to be erased, with one exception. When saving an Excel file to the same file name, instead of overwriting the file, the new report will be saved to a new worksheet in the same Excel file, thus making it easy to save monthly reports in the same Excel file in different worksheets.
The Open File after Save check box opens the saved file once it is created. When this check box is selected, the file will open in the default viewer for that file type immediately after it is saved. If this check box is cleared, the file will not open, but will be saved and can be opened at a later time. This setting is saved in the STI.INI file and will be used for subsequent sessions.
| Tabs3 DropBox | Selecting Tabs3 DropBox will save the report or statement as a PDF file in the Tabs3 DropBox window. |
