Default Printer

 

The software maintains a default report printer, default Tabs3 Billing final statement printer, default Tabs3 Billing draft statement printer, default 1099 printer (Trust and AP), default Trust check printer, and default AP check printer. This information is saved in the STI.INI file for each workstation that uses the software.

The default report printer is saved when:

• The OK or Preview button is clicked in the Print dialog box when generating a report; or
• The OK button is clicked in the Print from Preview window when generating a report; or
• The OK button is clicked in the Printer Setup window when it is accessed from the File | Print Setup menu selection in any of the software. However, if the Printer Setup window is accessed from the Print dialog box, no change is made to the default report printer even though font changes are written to the STI.INI file.

The default statement and check printers are only saved when the OK button is pressed in the Print dialog box when generating statements, reprinting statements, or generating checks.

The default 1099 printer is only saved when finishing the 1099 Forms Printer Setup wizard from the Reports | 1099 Form | Print Setup selection in Trust or AP.
