The Phone Dialer can be used to automatically dial any phone number, launch a fee entry, and/or start a timer. All nineteen (19) client/contact phone numbers are available. The Phone Dialer can accept any format.

The Phone Dialer uses Microsoft's built-in Windows Phone and Modem capabilities, which must be configured before using the Phone Dialer.

The Dial Phone option opens the Tabs3 Dialer window. This window can be repositioned but must be closed before switching to any other Tabs3 task.

The OK button will initiate the specified Options. These selections will be the default options the next time the button is clicked.

The Close button will save the current settings and close the Tabs3 Dialer window without initiating the specified Options.

Note: The Phone Dialer is also accessible via the button on the toolbar as well as the button next to the phone number fields in the Contact file and on the Address tab of the Client file.

When the dialer is accessed via the menu option, the window will not contain a default value for the Contact or Create a Fee for Client fields. However, when accessed while viewing the Contact file, the current contact will be displayed in the Contact field with the contact's phone numbers listed in the Phone Selector. When accessed via the Client file, the Contact Name field contact will be displayed in the Contact field with the contact's phone numbers listed in the Phone Selector. Additionally, the current client will be displayed in the Create a Fee for Client field with the Start Timer option selected.

Note: The "Client" terminology can be changed in Customization. This terminology is used on all menus, windows, and reports. However, the label "Client" is used in all documentation.
