Maximum of 9,999.999. The appropriate rate for this client will be displayed based on the default billing rate (i.e., the rate specified in the cost rate table or the transaction code file). The "<" and ">" keys can be used to increase or decrease the rate by one dollar at a time.

Note:  If the Rate Code is "8," then the Amount from the transaction code file will be retrieved and the Rate field will not be available.
