0 |
Uses the default billing rate from the cost rate table or uses a rate of 0.00 if a cost rate table has not been configured for the client and tcode. When the tcode exists in the cost rate table, "Cost Rate Table" and the rate will be displayed next to the Rate Code field; otherwise, "Default" will be displayed. |
|
7 |
Indicates the Rate from the transaction code file for that transaction code will be used. "Tcode Rate" and the rate from the Transaction Code file will be displayed next to the Rate Code field. |
Tip: By using a Rate Code of 7 for a cost transaction code, you can have Tabs3 automatically calculate a percentage of the cost item and add it to the actual cost. For example, let's say you want to add 25% to all long distance telephone calls. When defining the long distance telephone calls transaction code(s), enter 1.25 in the Rate field. Then, when adding a long distance cost transaction using the Cost file, after entering the transaction code number, a Units field will be displayed. Enter the amount of the phone call in the Units field, for example $10.00. Tabs3 will automatically multiply the Units field ($10.00) by the Rate (1.25) and calculate $12.50, which is 25% more than the actual cost (i.e., 125%).

8 |
Indicates the Amount from the transaction code file for that transaction code will be used. A code of 8 can be used when value billing. "Tcode Amount" and the amount from the Transaction Code file will be displayed next to the Rate Code field. |
