| Description |
The Description check box determines whether descriptions will print with the fee transactions. The description that is printed is determined by which Fee Format is selected.
| Standard or Info Only Fee Format |
When the Description check box is selected, the descriptions entered for each fee transaction will be printed on the statement. When the Description check box is cleared, the descriptions for each fee transaction will not be printed on the statement. |
| Summary Fee Format |
When the Summary Fee Format option is selected, the Description check box is automatically selected and dimmed. The Summary option is used when you want the total fees to be billed on the statement but you do not want each individual transaction to print on the statement. When using the Summary Fee Format, you can enter a summary description of services rendered that will print on the statement. To do this, use a Type 4 ("description only") transaction. Type 4 transactions are always printed on a statement. The following is an example of a summary Type 4 Description: Prepare Guidelines to Client for operation of the
Corporation including reviewing and approval of tax
planning correspondence. Prepare documents for review
by client. Prepare transmittal letters and other
correspondence.
For Current Services Rendered $531.50
When using a Summary Fee Format, you may have certain transactions that you want to print out as separate detail items. Enter these fee transactions with a Bill Code of "4" (billable/always print). The description will print on the statement; however, the hours and amount will be included in the totals. |
