Knowledge Base Article R10883 - Troubleshooting QuickBooks QBXML Integration - Integration Requirements - Tabs3 will check for the correct version when the QBXML integration type is selected and each time Tabs3 is started when configured for QBXML. If an older version is found, unexpected errors may occur. For information on which versions of QuickBooks integrate with Tabs3, refer to KB Article R11978, "Third Party Integration Requirements."
- Backups - Tabs3 and QuickBooks backups must be made at the same time. If
you restore a backup of one system and not the other, your data may become mismatched.
- The QuickBooks General Journal Entry window appears without QuickBooks accounts.
- This situation can occur when QuickBooks is in a modal state (i.e., certain other dialog boxes or
windows are open in QuickBooks). You will need to create the journal entries manually in QuickBooks. To
prevent this from occurring again, close all open dialog boxes in QuickBooks.
- Errors when Merging or Sending Data - Errors occurred during Merge
QuickBooks Data with Tabs3 and Send
Tabs3 Data to QuickBooks will be stored in a file called STQBERR.LOG.
- Merging a Customer/Job without an Account No. - A Customer/Job in QuickBooks
must have an Account No. entered on the Payment Info tab if it is to be merged into Tabs3.
If the Merge QuickBooks Data with Tabs3 program is run and a Customer/Job is found with the Account
No. blank, a Client is not added to Tabs3, but no error message is generated.
