The Misc Desc tab is used to define descriptions used in various parts of the software. You can select to modify the timekeeper levels, cost types or task code sets.
| Timekeeper Levels | Each timekeeper is assigned a user-defined level (such as partner, associate, paralegal, etc.). This option is used to define the level descriptions. The "timekeeper" label can be changed in Customization. However, the label "timekeeper" is used in all documentation. |
| Cost Types | Cost Types are optional and can be used to group similar types of costs for reporting purposes. Cost Types are the equivalent of categories for cost transactions. This option is used to define the Cost Type descriptions. |
| Task Code Sets | Task codes sets are used in conjunction with task based billing. This option is used to modify the names of each of the task code sets. |
Note: The Misc Desc tab will not be shown unless the user has been assigned access rights to Edit Timekeeper Levels Descriptions, Edit Cost Type Descriptions or Edit Task Code Set Descriptions.
