|||||||||||||||||||||
The Configure Payment Integration window lets you designate how you want payments to integrate and provides access to the various GLS Accounts Tables for defining which GLS accounts will be posted to.
| Posting Methods | The Primary posting method (By field) and Secondary posting method (Then field) for each type payment integration are used to define how journal entries will be posted to GLS for a payment which allocates to that type. If using a Secondary posting method, it must be different than the Primary posting method. Each type of payment allocation defines what type of posting method is available. |
Payment Integration Types
Post Payments Allocated to
Include Fee Compensation amounts in posting
Note: Changing the posting method by modifying By or Then fields, and then clicking the associated Accounts button displays a message asking you to confirm that you want to change the posting method and erase the existing accounts table. Selecting Yes will display a new GLS Accounts Table allowing the Primary and/or Secondary posting methods to be mapped to GLS accounts. Selecting No will reset the changes to the By and/or Then fields and open the previously defined GLS Accounts Table window. Selecting Cancel will return focus to the By or Then field that was changed without opening a GLS Accounts Table window.
Note: The Unapplied Payment information must be defined before you can access the Payment Entry program, Update Statements program, Undo Updated Statements program, or Payment Adjustment program.

This check box is only available when Working Timekeeper is specified for the Primary or Secondary posting method. Clear the Include Fee Compensation amounts in posting check box if you want the amount posted to GLS to be based on working timekeeper allocations (gross figures). Select the Include Fee Compensation amounts in posting check box if you want the amount posted to GLS to be based on fee compensation allocations (net figures). Fee compensation allocations are defined by setting up fee compensation rules for a client. Fee compensation rules allow a percentage of receipts to be allocated to timekeepers that may or may not have worked on the case. (Note: Only one journal entry will be made per GLS account. For example, if Ron has a working amount and a fee compensation amount, only one entry for his total amount will be posted to his fee income account.) |
