In some circumstances, it may be desirable to integrate some types of transactions with Tabs3 General Ledger (GLS), but not others. For instance, a firm may want to integrate payments to various GLS accounts, but not costs. How this is done depends on the settings used for integration and the types of integration desired.

Integration can be disabled permanently or temporarily.

Permanently Disabling Integration for Payment Transactions

Payment integration can be disabled by specifying a fee and cost payment posting method of Tcode and None. Make sure no tcodes are mapped in the GLS Accounts Table. Even though the Unapplied Payments account must be configured, you can configure it to debit and credit any GLS account. When using this configuration, no journal entries will be posted to GLS.

Note: Using this method will erase all account mappings in all GLS Accounts Tables.

Use the following procedure:

  1. From the Maintenance menu, point to Integration and select GLS Integration Setup.
  2. Click the Configure Payment Integration button for Payment Entries.
  3. For the Fees section Primary (By) field, select Payment Tcode.
  4. For the Fees section Secondary (Then) field, select None.
  5. Click the Fee Accounts button.
  6. If a message indicating a new method for posting payments to GLS is displayed, click Yes.
  7. If tcodes are displayed in the table, click the Clear All button and click Yes.
  8. Click OK.
  9. For the Post Unapplied Payments section Primary (By) field, select Single Debit/Credit.
  10. Click the Unapplied Payments Accounts button in the Post Unapplied Payment section.
  11. Specify a GLS account in the Debit Account and Credit Account fields. (Note: Regardless of the GLS accounts specified, no journal entries will be created.)
  12. Specify a Journal.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Click OK.
  15. Close the GLS Integration Setup window.
