| Items to Search |
The Items to Search section allows you to specify which items in Tabs3 you want used to determine whether a client has no activity. The report will search for items in every file selected for each client that fall within the time frame specified. Once a record is found for a client within the time frame specified, the client is considered active and will therefore not be included on the report. If no items are found for a client within the time frame specified, the client will be included on the report (unless the date in the client's Date Opened or Date Closed field falls within the range.) For example, if you are only concerned with clients who have no fee transactions for the specified time frame, you would select the Fees check box.
The following files can be selected:
| Fees |
Selecting the Fees check box will search all fee transactions for each client that fall within the time frame specified. If a fee transaction is found for a client within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Fees check box will exclude fees from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Costs |
Selecting the Costs check box will search all cost transactions for each client that fall within the time frame specified. If a cost transaction is found for a client within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Costs check box will exclude costs from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Statements |
Selecting the Statements check box will check all statements for each client that fall within the specified date range. If a statement is found for a client within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Statements check box will exclude statements from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Payments |
Selecting the Payments check box will check all payment transactions for each client that fall within the specified date range. If a payment transaction is found for a client within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Payments check box will exclude payments from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Payment Adjustments |
Selecting the Payment Adjustments check box will check all payment adjustments for each client that fall within the specified date range. If a payment adjustment is found within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Payment Adjustments check box will exclude payment adjustments records from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Write Offs |
Selecting the Write Offs check box will check all write offs for each client that fall within the specified date range. If a write off is found within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Write Offs check box will exclude write offs from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
| Client Funds |
Selecting the Client Funds check box will check all client funds transactions for each client that fall within the specified date range. If a client funds transaction is found for a client within the time frame, the client will not be included on the report. See Activity Note. Clearing the Client Funds check box will exclude client funds transactions from being used to determine client inactivity. |
|
Note: When selecting items, both Work-in-Process and Archived transactions will be searched.
Activity Note: The Date Opened and Date Closed fields in the Client file are considered activity. Therefore, if the value of the client's Date Opened or Date Closed field falls within the time frame specified, the client will not be included on the report.
For example, let's say you want a report of all clients who have not made any payments within the last four months. Any new clients who have been added within the last four months will not be included on the report, even if a payment has not been made by the new client. This is because the clients' Date Opened field falls within the four-month time frame.
Note: The "Client" terminology can be changed in Customization. This terminology is used on all menus, windows, and reports. However, the label "Client" is used in all documentation.
