background elements

Background elements are elements in the current page layout that are part of an optional background page, rather than having been created as part of the current page layout. When editing a page layout in the Page Layout pane of the Statement Designer, the appearance of background elements is controlled by the Background Overlay and Background Preview options on the right-click menu.
