The Integrate with QuickBooks check box will only be displayed if the QuickBooks Type of Integration field on the Other Systems tab of Customization is set to QBXML. This option will be available for any cost or payment tcode. The only exception is Type 4 - Description Only transaction codes, which do not integrate with QuickBooks.

Select the Integrate with QuickBooks check box if you want to integrate cost records with the specified tcode directly into QuickBooks. When this check box is selected for cost or payment tcodes, journal entries will be posted into QuickBooks when a cost or payment record with the specified tcode is saved.

For cost tcodes, you can specify a QuickBooks Debit Acct for the debit journal entry. (Since journal entries are automatically posted to QuickBooks for costs, if a QuickBooks Debit Acct is not specified, the STI-Expense account will be used for the debit journal entry.) The QuickBooks Credit Acct field is not available since the credit journal entry is always posted to the Accounts Payable account.

For payment tcodes, you can specify a default QuickBooks Debit Acct and QuickBooks Credit Acct for the debit and credit journal entries displayed in the QuickBooks General Journal Entry window. Any QuickBooks account can be selected for the QuickBooks Debit Acct and QuickBooks Credit Acct except for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts. (Note: Some firms will use an Undeposited Funds asset account instead of the Cash account for the QuickBooks Debit Acct when posting payments. A deposit slip is then created in QuickBooks, which posts the funds from the Undeposited Funds account to the Cash account.)

Note: The QuickBooks Debit Acct and QuickBooks Credit Acct fields allow accounts with a maximum of 31 characters to be selected. If the selected QuickBooks account is longer than 31 characters, an error message will be displayed upon saving.

Clear the Integrate with QuickBooks check box if you do not want to integrate transactions with the specified tcode with QuickBooks.

Note: When a payment is entered into Tabs3, General Journal Entries are created in QuickBooks, the actual payment is not integrated. For this reason, it is recommended to only integrate payment transaction codes with QuickBooks if the actual payments will not be entered directly into QuickBooks. If you enter a payment in QuickBooks and create the QuickBooks General Journal Entries for Tabs3 payments, this would cause double posting.
