| Include |
The following items can be included or excluded from the report. Select the corresponding check box if you want to include the item on the report. Clear the corresponding check box if you want to exclude the item from the report. Each item will be shown as a separate column. Keep in mind that the more columns selected, the smaller the font will be.
| Original Hours | Total hours worked for transactions billed and updated for the specified period. Any write-up/write-down of hours will not affect this figure. |
| Billed Hours | Total billable hours billed and updated for the specified period. Billed figures are accumulated based on the statement date, NOT the transaction date. (Note: The Billed Hours includes the Write-Up Hours and Write-Down Hours.) |
| Realization Rate | Billed Amount divided by Original Hours. |
| Original Value | Total billable amount billed and updated for the specified period prior to any write-up/write-down amounts. |
| Billed Amount | Total billable fees billed and updated for the specified period including write-ups, write-downs, and courtesy discount amounts. This figure represents the Billed Amount from transactions that were billed and updated on statements with a statement date within the specified period. It is important to note that the statement date is used to determine whether the Billed Amount for the transaction is included, NOT the transaction date. Progress billed fee transactions (i.e., Type 6 transactions) are not included in this amount. |
| Billing Realization | The percentage of professional work performed that is actually billed to clients. Billed Amount divided by Original Value. |
| Est. Hours Collected | Collection Realization multiplied by Billed Hours. |
| Collection Amount | The total amount of payments applied to fees on updated statements with a statement date within the specified period. (Note: Because this report is looking at billed fees based on the statement date of updated statements and amounts collected towards those statements, the payment transaction date and payment allocation date are not used when determining the amount shown in this column. Unallocated payments are not included on this report.) |
| Collection Realization | The percentage of work billed and updated that is actually collected. Collection Amount divided by Billed Amount. |
| Write Offs | Total write offs for statements billed and updated for the specified period. Write off figures are accumulated for the billing period for which the write off was performed (i.e., not the write off date). For example, let's say a client's statement balance of $1,000 is written off on 11/04/2026 for a final statement with a statement date of 10/31/2026. The report would need to be run with a period that encompasses the 10/31/2026 date in order for the write off to be included. Even though the write off is performed in November, it will not be shown in November because the write off applied to an October statement. |
Note: If you want to see write off figures based on the date the write off was performed, a detailed report of individual write offs can be generated using the Client Ledger Report for Write Offs Only or a summary report of write off totals can be generated using the Receipt Allocation Report.
| Uncollected |
Billed Amount minus Collection Amount minus Write Offs. It is important to note that the amounts for the Collection Amount and Write Offs represent the payments and write offs applied to the statements included on the report regardless of the payment date or write off date, thus providing true realization information. |
Note: When the Uncollected column is included, it is possible that an additional line for Missing Allocation Adjustment may be included on the subtotal. This adjustment is only used with data sets that were converted from Tabs3 Version 8 or earlier where the report includes clients with statements that were written off in the older versions. This adjustment is necessary because in previous versions, Tabs3 tracked which client a write off applied to but not which statement.
