Several reports allow you to select a pre-defined time period via a drop-down list. Reports with the time period selector include the Receipt Allocation Report, the Client Realization Report, the Timekeeper Realization Report, the Credit Card Authorization List, the Top Client Report and the Write Off Report. The time period selector is found on the Options tab for the respective report. Once a period is selected, the beginning and ending dates for that period will be displayed as the default dates in the From and To fields. If one or both of these dates are changed, the period will automatically be changed to Custom.

The pre-defined time periods available in the drop-down list are defined below:

All Select this option if you do not want to limit the period to a specific date range. All dates will be included in the period when All is selected.
Today Select this option if you want to limit the period to the current day based on the current system date. For example, if the system date is 02/04/2026, the date included in the period will be 02/04/2026 through 02/04/2026.
Current Reporting Month Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current reporting month. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the current reporting month. For example, if the current reporting month is October 2026, the dates included in the period will be 10/01/2026 through 10/31/2026.
Current Calendar Month Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current calendar month. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the current calendar month based on the system date. For example, if the current system date is 11/07/2026, then the current calendar month is November, and the dates included in the period will be 11/01/2026 through 11/30/2026.
Current Reporting Month Prior Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current reporting month of last year only. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the current reporting month for last year. For example, if the current reporting month is October 2026, the dates included in the period will be 10/01/2025 through 10/31/2025.
Current Calendar Month Prior Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current calendar month of last year. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the current calendar month for last year based on the system date. For example, if the current system date is 11/07/2026, then the current calendar month is November, and the dates included in the period will be 11/01/2025 through 11/30/2025.
Current Quarter Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current calendar quarter. The dates will include the first day of the current quarter through the last day of the current quarter based on the system date. For example, if the current system date is 02/04/2026, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2026 through 03/31/2026. As another example, if the current system date is 07/07/2026, the dates included in the period will be 07/01/2026 through 09/30/2026.
Current Reporting Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current reporting year. The dates will include the first day of the firm's reporting year through the last day in the reporting year. For example, if the current system date is 07/22/2026 and the reporting year is from January through December, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2026. As another example, if the current system date is 07/22/2026 and the reporting year is from February through January, the dates included in the period will be 02/01/2026 through 01/31/2026.
Current Calendar Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the current calendar year. The dates will include a full calendar year of January through December based on the year of the current system date. For example, if the current system date is 08/18/2026, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2026.
Prior Reporting Month Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior reporting month. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the prior reporting month. For example, if the current reporting month is September 2026, then the prior reporting month is August 2026, and the dates included in the period will be 08/01/2026 through 08/31/2026.
Prior Calendar Month Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior calendar month. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the prior calendar month based on the month of the system date. For example, if the current system date is 05/20/2026, then the prior calendar month is April 2026, and the dates included in the period will be 04/01/2026 through 04/30/2026.
Prior Reporting Month Prior Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior reporting month of the prior year. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the prior reporting month of the prior year based on the current reporting month. For example, if the current reporting month is October 2026, then the prior reporting month is September 2026, and the dates included in the period will be 09/01/2025 through 09/30/2025.
Prior Calendar Month Prior Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior calendar month of the prior year. The dates will include the first day through the last day of the prior calendar month of the prior year based on the month of the system date. For example, if the system date is 08/18/2026, then the prior calendar month is July 2026, and the dates included in the period will be 07/01/2025 through 07/31/2025.
Prior Quarter Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior calendar quarter. The dates will include the first day of the prior quarter through the last day of the prior quarter based on the system date. For example, if the current system date is 06/16/2026, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2026 through 03/31/2026. As another example, if the current system date is 07/07/2026, the dates included in the period will be 04/01/2026 through 06/30/2026.
Prior Reporting Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior reporting year. The dates will include the first day of the prior reporting year through the last day of the prior reporting year. For example, if the current reporting month is September 2026and the reporting year is January through December, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2025 through 12/31/2025. As another example, if the current reporting month is September 2026 and the reporting year is from March through February, the dates included in the period will be 03/01/2025 through 02/28/2025.
Prior Calendar Year Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in the prior calendar year. The dates will include the prior calendar year based on the current system date. For example, if the current system date is 07/07/2026, the dates included in the period will be 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2026.
Custom Select this option if you want to limit the period to include dates in a user defined date range. The date range is entered manually by the user and limits the records to the specified date range.
None This option is only available on the Receipt Allocation Report as a Period 2 date range. Select this option if you only want figures for Period 1 to print on the report.
