The 1st Sort Order determines the field you want the list sorted and/or totaled on first. A heading line will print on the report each time the 1st Sort Order changes.

Client Select Client if you want the list sorted by client.
Timekeeper Select Timekeeper if you want the list sorted by working timekeeper. You cannot select a 1st Sort Order of Timekeeper if you are including payments.
Entry Date Select Date if you want the list sorted by date. If you select this option, then all transactions with an entry date that falls between the date ranges specified on the Transactions tab are included (regardless of transaction date).
Transaction Date Select Transaction Date if you want the list sorted by transaction date. The date ranges specified on the Transactions tab apply to the transaction date.
Statement Date Select Statement Date if you want the list sorted by statement date. If you select this option, then all transactions billed with a statement date that falls between the date ranges specified on the Transactions tab are included (regardless of transaction date). (Note: This option is available only when Archived transactions are exclusively selected.)
Phase/Task Select Phase/Task if you want the list sorted by phase and task.
Activity/Expense Select Activity/Expense if you want the list sorted by Activity code and Expense code.
Category Select Category if you want the list sorted by category (i.e., the category assigned to each fee transaction). You cannot select a 1st Sort Order of Category if you are including costs or payments.
Transaction Type Select Transaction Type if you want the list sorted by type of transaction (i.e., fees, costs, payments). For example, if you are including fees and payments on the list, subtotals for fees and payments will print if this option is selected.
Entry Order Select Entry Order if you want the list sorted by the order in which the transactions were entered.
User ID Select User ID if you want the list sorted by the User ID who entered the transactions.
