Select the Subtotal check box if you want a subtotal to print each time the 1st Sort Order changes. For example, if Client is selected for the 1st Sort Order, a subtotal for each client will print if the Subtotal check box is selected. The 1st Sort Order label and subtotals will be shaded across the width of the report if the selected printer is configured to print gray shade density in the Advanced Printing Features.

Clear this check box if you want the list to include only a final total and no subtotals.

This option is ignored if an Export Data Format is selected.

Note: If you select the Subtotal check box for the 2nd Sort Order, then the Subtotal check box for the 1st Sort Order will automatically be selected. You must subtotal on the 1st Sort Order if you want to subtotal on the 2nd Sort Order. Likewise, you must subtotal on the 2nd Sort Order if you want to subtotal on the 3rd Sort Order.

Note: Subtotals are not included on the report unless one of the following columns is selected on the Format tab: Hours Worked, Hours to Bill, or Amount.
