| Paragraph |
The Paragraph format allows you to combine multiple transactions into paragraphs instead of printing each fee transaction on a separate line. The following paragraph formats are available:
| Date |
The Date paragraph format combines all fee transactions with the same date into a paragraph format regardless of timekeeper. Only one paragraph per date prints. The following example includes optional timekeeper initials and rate.
|
Note: The Date paragraph format is ignored if a Subtotal option of Date is also specified.
Note: If more than one timekeeper has a fee for a specified date, the rate will be calculated by dividing the total amount billed for that date by the hours to bill.
| Date/Timekeeper |
The Date/Timekeeper paragraph format combines fee transactions by date by timekeeper into separate paragraphs. The following example includes optional timekeeper initials and rate.
|
Note: The Date/Timekeeper paragraph format is ignored if a Subtotal option of Timekeeper is also specified.
Note: The "timekeeper" label can be changed in Customization. However, the label "timekeeper" is used in all documentation.
| Total |
The Total paragraph format combines all fee transactions for the entire statement into a single paragraph regardless of dates or timekeepers. Put together proposal for Mid-State Insurance Company. Office conference with Peter Smith, insurance salesman for company. Office conference with Sam Reader, Sally Farrows and John Darrington. Telephone conference with President of Mid-State. |
Note: You cannot select Total for the Paragraph format when including Dates.
Note: The rate is not displayed when using the Total paragraph format, even if the Rate option is selected for the statement template.
| No Paragraph | The No Paragraph option indicates all fee transactions will print as separate line items on the statement. |
Note: Reference numbers for fees will not print on draft statements if the Paragraph Format is Date, Date/Timekeeper or Total. If you want the reference numbers to be printed on draft statements, the Paragraph Format must be set to No Paragraph.
Note: Selecting any paragraph format other than No Paragraph will prevent transaction codes and task codes from printing on the statement.
Note: If you want to use drill-down capabilities when previewing draft statements, the Paragraph Format must be set to No Paragraph.
