Cut

 

The Cut menu option on the right-click menu in the Statement Designer functions in the same way as the standard Windows cut command (Ctrl+X). Selecting this menu option or pressing Ctrl+X causes the current element or elements to be removed from the page layout. Elements that have been cut are retained in the Clipboard until they are replaced by other data. As long as they remain in the Clipboard, elements that have been cut can be inserted into the current page layout using the Paste menu option.

For example, suppose you want to move one or more elements from one page layout to another. You could select the elements you want to move, right-click and select Cut (or press Ctrl+X), and then select the desired page layout and use the Paste menu option to insert the elements.
