The Default Properties dialog box controls the properties that are used by default when a new field or a new text
box is added to any page
layout. To access the Default Properties dialog box, simply click between the elements (i.e., in empty
space) in the Page
Layout pane, and then click the 
button or right-click and select the Properties menu option.
