| Aligning or Equalizing Elements |
You can select multiple elements and vertically or horizontally align them with each other using the alignment buttons on the Statement Designer toolbar. You can also equalize the width or height of all selected elements, and/or the amount of horizontal or vertical space between each of the selected elements.
Selected elements are aligned or equalized based on the element with the resizing handles.
To
align or equalize elements:
- From the Statement Designer, select the desired page layout.
- Select the elements you want to adjust.
- The element on which you want to align or equalize the other elements must have focus on it. This item will have resizing handles. If you want to change which element has focus on it, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click the element on which you want to align the other elements.
- On the Statement Designer toolbar, click the desired alignment
or equalization button. For example, the
button will align all selected elements with the left edge of the element that has focus on it. As another
example, the
button will equalize the width of all selected elements based on the width of the element that has focus
on it.
To
equalize the amount of space between three or more elements:
- From the Statement Designer, select the desired page layout.
- Select the elements you want to adjust (three or more).
- On the Statement Designer toolbar, click
to equalize the amount of horizontal space between each selected element and the next, or click
to equalize the amount of vertical space between each selected element and the next.
Note: The changes are not finalized until you click
