Client Fields

Field to use for the Client Description

This setting determines whether to use the Client Name (Last/First) or Client Full Name in the iManage Client Description field.

Note: Changes to this setting do not apply to existing clients. To update the Client Description in iManage for existing clients, click the Sync Now button in the Update iManage section of the iManage Integration window.

Add leading zeros so the Client Number is at least X digits long

This setting determines whether to prepend zeros to the Client ID up to the specified number of digits. For example, if your firm is configured to combine client and matter fields and prepend zeros up to 8 digits, client 100.01 would be displayed as 00100.01 in iManage. Prepending zeros can assist with sorting Client IDs numerically.

Note: Changing this setting after records have been synchronized to iManage can cause duplicate records to be created.

Note: This option is not available when Tabs3 Billing is configured for an Alpha or Mixed Key Type.
