The QuickBooks DB Acct field is only available when integrating with QuickBooks using the QBXML format. Specify the debit account to be used for the Bill journal entry. You can type the first few letters of the account or select it from the drop-down list. All QuickBooks accounts will be available in the list except for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts. The default account is the account specified for the Transaction Code file. If no account has been specified for the transaction code, then the default account is blank. If the cost transaction is saved without a specified QuickBooks DB Acct, a debit entry will be made to the "STI-Expense" account.

The QuickBooks credit account is always the Accounts Payable account. This is because the cost entry goes over to QuickBooks as a "Bill" so that a check can be printed in QuickBooks. QuickBooks "Bills" always credit the Accounts Payable account.

Note: The QuickBooks Vendor and QuickBooks DB Acct fields will not be available if the Transaction Code is a "Description Only" (Type 4) tcode.

Note: If the QuickBooks Vendor and QuickBooks DB Acct fields become dim after tabbing past the Client ID field, the client is not set up to integrate with QuickBooks. If the fields become dim after tabbing past the Tcode field, the tcode is not set up to integrate with QuickBooks.
