The Release To Bill check box indicates whether a statement can be generated for a client.

Select this check box if you want a statement generated for the client when statements are processed.

Clear this check box if you want no statement generated for the client when statements are processed.

Example: This option is particularly useful when the firm uses billing frequencies to process statements for clients in batches. For example, let's say you are ready to generate monthly statements for 300 clients who are assigned the "MONTHLY" billing frequency. However, you need to exclude statements for 22 of the clients. Clear the Release To Bill check box for those 22 clients using the Change Client Options program and then run statements for the MONTHLY billing frequency.

Note: Reminder statements (i.e., statements with a previous balance) will print for Bill On Demand clients regardless of whether the Release to Bill check box is selected or not.

Note: Clients with the Release To Bill and Bill On Demand check boxes cleared will not be included on a Detail Work-In-Process report that is run with the Update Pre-Bill Tracking check box selected.
