There are several levels of statement notes that can be printed on a statement, thus allowing up to 6 different customized messages and headings. All levels or any combination thereof can be used on a client's statement.

Statement Customization

Global Heading & Ending Message

Heading = 9 lines of 60 characters each.

Ending Message = 250 characters.

This information, if specified, will print on all billing statements.

Cover Statement: Both the Global Heading and Ending Message print on all cover statements.

Combined Statements: When combining files on a statement, the Global Heading will print only for the first file. The Ending Message will print only for the last file.

Statement Template

Beginning Note & Ending Note

511 characters each.

Each client is assigned two default statement templates--one for draft statements and one for final statements. Each statement template can specify an optional beginning note and an ending note. When specified, the Beginning and Ending Note fields will be printed on the statement. These notes are created using the Statement Notes program. These notes can be configured to also print on the cover statement and/or for each matter on combined statements.

Cover Statement: The "Include Statement Notes on a Cover Statement" check box in the Statement Templates program determines whether the specified statement notes will also print on a cover statement.

Combined Statements: When combining files on a statement, the specified statement notes will print for each file provided the "Include Statement Notes for each File on Combined Statements" check box in the Statement Templates program is selected. If the check box is cleared, statement notes will not print for any of the files' statements.

Client

Beginning Statement Notes & Ending Statement Notes

250 characters each. These notes are unique to the specific client and are entered using the Client file.

Cover Statement: These notes do not print on the cover statement.

Combined Statements: When combining files on a statement, the client's Beginning Statement Notes print for every file. However, the client's Ending Statement Notes print for the last file only. (Note: When combining statements, the last file's ending statement template notes will be printed before the Ending Statement Notes.)
