The Clients or Matters field for the Top Client Report determines whether the report ranks clients or matters.

The default for this field is Matters. When Matters is selected, each client matter will be ranked according to the Ranked By field. When Clients is selected, all client matters will be combined into the base Client ID to determine the rank of each client. For example, matters 100.01, 100.02 and 100.03 will be combined and printed as 100.

The title of the report changes based on which option is selected. If Clients is selected, the report title is "Tabs3 Top Client Report." If Matters is selected, the report title is "Tabs3 Top Matter Report."

Note: The Clients option is not available when configured for an Alpha Key Type.
