| Rate |
The Rate option determines whether the Rate column is printed in the fee recap. The default column heading is Rate and can be changed in Line 20 of Statement Customization. The following options are available.
| Average Hourly | Select this option if you want only one line to print for each timekeeper or timekeeper level. When more than one rate is used by the same timekeeper (or timekeeper level depending on which option was selected for the Fee Recap), Tabs3 will average the rate on a prorated basis. |
| Calculated Rate | Select this option if you want a separate line to print for each rate for each timekeeper (or timekeeper level). This option will print the rate from each transaction that appears on the statement after adjusting for any write-ups or write-downs. |
| No Rate | Select this option if you do not want the Rate column to be included in the recap. |
| Transaction Rate | Select this option if you want a separate line to print for each unique rate for each timekeeper, or timekeeper level, that appears on the statement. Each timekeeper may have the same rate, but a specific rate will only appear once per timekeeper when this option is selected, no matter how many transactions used that rate. |
Example: Let's say the Fee Recap option is set at Timekeeper and a timekeeper bills 1 hour at $150 and 1 hour at $200 for the same file. If the Average Hourly Rate is specified, the fee recap would include one line for the timekeeper showing $175 for the rate. However, if the Calculated Rate or Transaction Rate is specified, the fee recap would include one line for the timekeeper showing $150 for the rate and a second line for the timekeeper showing $200 for the rate.
